Overview

At its core, Exponent separates the variable yield component from DeFi products, creating novel duration assets that can be used for generating fixed income and/or yield trading. This is done through yield stripping, a mechanism that strips the future yield of DeFi products (e.g. LST, lending positions, etc) over a defined set period, such as 6 months, 1 year, etc.

Once stripped, Exponent duration assets have maturities and can be traded through Exponent’s Time-Dynamic AMM. To enable anyone to trade these new yield products with maturities, Exponent has built a novel yield trading AMM for Solana, which is sensitive to the maturity of duration assets and dynamically concentrates the liquidity as the assets mature for optimal price execution.
